Full Circle Farm field trips are fantastic guided school tours designed to engage students with the fun and fascinating world of their local agricultural food system.

Open your eyes to our wonderful example of sustainable gardening practices at work, right here in your local community for a great excursion outdoors in the fresh air!

Group tours are available Tuesday, Thursday, Friday between 9:30am – 12:30am. See our calendar below.

We have one weekend tour every second Sunday of the month as part of Farming With The Community.

Pumpkin Patch tours in October 2017 include a run through our annual pumpkin patch and kids get to choose a pumpkin to take home! Small additional fee for pumpkins.

SCHOOL TOURS | Ages 5 -17 yrs

 

‘GETTING TO KNOW THE FARM’ | Guided Tour | 1 hour

THE FARM: Come on an exciting 60 minute walking loop around Full Circle Farm, it’s a fun day out learning about where your food comes from! We start by exploring our production crops and try a little taste of what is currently growing in season. Your tour guide will then take you on an expedition to explore our greenhouse, children’s and education gardens, compost pile, the orchard, honey bees and you will meet our composting worms and feed our friendly chickens along the way!

 

10 – 15 students | $200 per tour

16 – 24 students | $250 per tour

25 – 30 students | $300 per tour

‘FULL CIRCLE’ | Guided Tour | 1 .5 hour 

THE FARM: Come on an exciting 60 minute walking loop around Full Circle Farm, it’s a fun day out learning about where your food comes from! We start by exploring our production crops and try a little taste of what is currently growing in season. AAH ANIMALS: Then take a special tour to meet the beautiful Animal Assisted Happiness resident animals, including alpacas, mini horses, Jingle Bell the donkey, sheep, pot-bellied pigs, and goats! Learn a little bit about the friendly farm animals and their purpose and function on a farm. This is a 30 x min additional tour after the ‘Getting to Know the Farm’ tour.

PRESCHOOL TOURS | Ages 2 -4 yrs

 

‘BARNYARD FRIENDS’ | Guided Tour | 1 hour

Come visit Full Circle Farm for a fun day out specially designed for preschoolers! Children will delight in taking a special tour of the Animal Assisted Happiness farm animals, who are our neighbourly friends here at Full Circle Farm. We visit the barnyard where children can say hello to our gentle pot-­bellied pigs, the curious goats, the sheepish sheep and the friendly mini horses, fluffy alpacas and Jingle Bell the donkey! We’ll talk about what farm animals do on a farm, the sounds they might make and pat someone’s nose. Then we can meet and feed our friendly Full Circle Farm chickens and try something to eat from what’s growing on the farm.

10 – 14 child+parent | $180 per tour

15 – 20 child+parent | $280 per tour

2-3 years | Must have 1 chaperone per 2 toddlers.

4 years | Must have 1 chaperone per 5 children.

Mixed age groups must observe age supervision requirements, as above.

Siblings under 2 yrs are free + must be supervised.

 

‘CHILDREN’S GARDEN’ | Guided Tour | 1 hour

Come visit Full Circle Farm for a fun day out specially designed for preschoolers! Children get to open their eyes and minds to the wonders of our beautiful urban education farm. Learn, Play and Grow! Each group tour consists of a 45 min gentle walking loop around Full Circle Farm. We see seedlings growing in the big greenhouse, walk down to the Children’s Garden, see the vegetables growing and pick something to eat straight from the fields, you can bring a story book to read in the wisteria-shaded tipi OR have 15 minutes of exploratory play time on the ‘Dirt Castle’ and then finally meet and feed our friendly chickens.

OTHER TOURS

 

Farming with the Community | 1 hour | All ages

This is a family community tour available every 2nd Sunday of the month. Its the same as the Getting to Know the Farm tour, as listed above and is part of Farming with the Community volunteer day at the farm. This also co-incides with the monthly AAH Open Day so you can visit their animals too!

5 – 30 persons  |  $10 per person

Children under 2 yrs are free, all children must be supervised

 

 

Private Farm Tours | 1 hour | All Ages

5 – 30 persons | $20 per person

By appointment and open to all ages. All children must be supervised. Children under 2 yrs are free

 

Discounts for Title 1 schools or low income organizations are available by request. We regret that we cannot offer multiple class or other discounts. All donations from FCF farm tours benefit Sustainable Community Gardens or Animal Assisted Happiness which are both 501(c)(3) non-profit organisations.
